The Most Important Thing!
Gospel
The Gospel, which means “Good News,” is the message of God’s love and salvation for humanity. At its heart, the Gospel tells us how God has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ.
1. God’s Design
God created the world and everything in it, including us, to live in harmony with Him. He made us in His image, designed for relationship with Him and to reflect His goodness.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
– Genesis 1:1

2. The Problem of Sin
We all have turned away from God through sin—disobedience to His will. Sin separates us from God and brings death into the world, both physical and spiritual.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
– Romans 3:23
“The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
– Romans 6:23
3. God’s Rescue Plan
God, in His love, provided a solution. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a sinless life and to take the punishment for our sins through His death on the cross. Three days later, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
– John 3:16

4. Our Response
The Gospel calls us to respond in faith:
-
Repent: Turn away from sin and toward God (Acts 3:19).
-
Believe: Trust that Jesus died for your sins and rose again (Romans 10:9).
-
Follow: Commit your life to Jesus as your Savior and Lord (Luke 9:23)
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
– Romans 10:9
5. The Promise of New Life
When we put our faith in Christ, God forgives our sins and gives us a new life. We are made part of His family and given the hope of eternal life with Him.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
– 2 Corinthians 5:17

How to Put Your Faith in Christ
You can take this step today by praying to God. A prayer of faith might look like this:
“God, I know I have sinned and need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust Him as my Savior and want to follow Him as Lord. Please come into my life and make me new. Thank You for loving me and giving me eternal life. Amen.”
